Payments are made at the bank, CoW Customer Care (Halls) or through EFT. Proof of payment is required when payment is made.

CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOW FOR THE RENTAL OF COMMUNITY HALLS & AMPHITHEATRE AT UN PLAZA

 

Description Fees:

More than 30 calendar days before arrival: No charge.
15 – 30 Calendar days before arrival: 25% of full rental payment is retained.
8 – 14 Calendar days before arrival: 50% of full rental payment is retained.
7 Calendar days and less before arrival: Full rental payment is retained.

SMEs specializing in arts, crafts, catering, clothing/textile manufacturing, innovation/ICT services and Early Childhood Development and general services can apply to be accommodated at UN PLAZA.
 
 
List of Steps

  1. 1. All vacant kiosks and offices are advertised in local print media.
  2. 2. Applications for vacant places will only be accepted and considered after advertisements has been placed in the local printed media.
  3. 3. Subsequent to the receipt of applications, interviews will be conducted with short-listed candidates for further screening.
  4. 4. Upon completion of the selection process, all applicants are informed about the outcome, whether successful or unsuccessful.
  5. 5. Instructions:
• The Municipal Council of Windhoek has 3 Community Halls in Katutura and Khomasdal respectively.
• In addition, it has 5 community centres in the informal settlement that include: Maxuilili in Babilon, Ombili Community Centre, Onghuho Ye Pongo, Okuryangava, Greenwell Matongo Community Centre and Otjomuise Community Centre. These community centres are managed by Community Centre Board Committees.
• Community halls/centres provide spaces and opportunities to its residents that promote social, educational, cultural, religious, environmental and economic sectors of the community it serves.
• Community halls are leased on a daily basis and the fee structures are gazetted in a Government Gazette on an annual basis.
• Residents can access these facilities by visiting the facilities or through the contact persons at the facilities.
• Online bookings for community halls are being piloted and will be rolled out to the public soon.
