    With the exception of cats and dogs, no animal may be kept in the City without the prior written consent from the City of Windhoek, but any resident who wishes to keep a dog which is older than six months must on an annual basis obtain a dog license.

    The City of Windhoek operates a bus service between the various suburbs and the Central Business District. With prior approval, buses can be hired for private functions.
