Fraud Hotline

 

The City of Windhoek has established a fraud hotline as part of its efforts to become more transparent and to secure a crime free environment, particularly crimes committed by its own employees.   The service allows residents to report any incidents of fraud or corruption they may witness without fear of victimization as calls can be made anonymously.

Advantages of a fraud hotline are:

An established reporting channel
Efficient detection of fraud and breakdowns in controls
Guaranteed caller anonymity
No fear of victimization

The City urges residents to report any incidents of the following types of misconduct they may have observed:

Theft
Fraud
Misuse and abuse of municipal property
Violation of municipal laws and regulations

Informers are kindly requested to be as specific as possible when providing information and can leave their messages in any language they feel comfortable.

All information will be treated in the strictest confidence and please remember to provide all details/information of the incident being reported.
